...my hair that is.
Since Christmas I think I have worn my hair out more times than not. That is rare for me to do especially when I am super busy. It must be this new length, I want to enjoy it. The longer my hair gets the more elongated my curls get. Some people will have you believe that your hair texture changes as it grows well let me be one to tell you that it's not true. As your hair grows it gets heavier and can give the illusion that your curl pattern is changing. HOWEVER, if you BC or cut off a few inches you will see an immediate change in the tightness of your curl pattern. How do I know? I did it. ::stepping off my soapbox::
Anyhoo...my twist-out lasted for 3 days and would have lasted longer but I washed my hair so that I can bun it for the week. To do my twist out I prepped my hair by shampooing, conditioning, and then did small flat twists with just my leave in conditioner. After my entire head was flat twisted I used my Roots Only bottle to oil my scalp where it was parted. I did this because I knew I would be keeping my flat twists in for 3 days and my scalp LOVES Castor oil in the winter.
I loved the definition and hold:
You can see slightly in the back that there is less definition. The larger the sections became the more the definition decreased. So it you are looking to achieve all over definition you may want to try twisting your hair in half sections. Meaning, part your hair from ear to ear and flat twisting the top half separately from the bottom half.
Gorgeous hair!
