Winter 2012 Length Check
It's length check time! I'm not length obsessed but I do check my length at least annually because checking my length retention is a great way to determine if I am adequately taking care of my hair. In addition to making sure my hair is properly moisturized I check my ends for breakage, splitting, and excessive single strand knots.
Past length checks:
September 2011 - Line 8
March 2011 - 6.5
October 2010 - Line 7/8 cut down to line 3
April 2010 - Line 3
and now
 |
| Line 9 |
After my recent trim I am almost to line 10. At this time I am thinking of making the final line on my shirt a goal - of course that can change because long hair is a lot of work. Currently, my washing sessions are taking up to 40 minutes. Styling has become more difficult because now I have more hair to try to get into a style. Some styles that I used to do just do not work as well or they are extremely time consuming.
I don't think that I retained as much length as I could have since September because I did not stick to my bunning regimen like I planned. In 2010, I retained a lot more length in the same time frame. This leads me to believe that the regimen I followed in 2010 is what is best for my hair. This has been a long process but a very informing experiment.
Awesome! I rhink I need to create a length check shirt.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Do you workout? If so, how do you maintain your pressed hair while working out?
When I workout, I wrap my hair and I leave it wrapped. Over the years I have never had a problem with sweating my hair out unless I didn't wrap and tie it down properly.
ReplyDeleteGreat progress and growth! I always look forward to your length checks :)
