You Asked, I Answered

You asked:
My mother used to have the same hair pattern as you, but over the years as she's worn her hair stretched (in buns) it seems to have changed to a wavy pattern (envision indian mixed with black).
Was wondering has your hair pattern always been the same? Or do you reckon keeping it continuously stretched (similar to kimmaytube) has made the pattern looser?
Thanks

I Answered:
For the most part, my hair pattern has been the same. For a few years I did experience a pattern change as a result of heat damage. I noticed that my hair will take the shape encouraged by styles so it is not shocking that your mother's hair appears to have a looser curl pattern. If she was to wear her hair out more you may notice that her curls appear to get tighter. It's because her hair is free and allowed to do it's own thing. Also age does play a role in curl patterns so her texture may not be related to just her styling options. Before my grandmother passed I did her hair and her texture was so soft and her curl pattern was almost non-existent. My gray hairs have less of a curl pattern than my non-grays. So basically, keeping your hair stretched can impact your curl pattern however (in my opinion) it will only appear to be permanent if you keep it stretched

You Asked:
My hair is thinning, what can I use to thicken it up more?

I Answered:
This question led me to do more research so that I could had to what I already knew about thinning hair. As a result, I have a rather lengthy answer that I will put in its own post. Stay tuned...
